@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse You are actually so slow it’s impressive. If someone would pay him $25mil a year why hasn’t he signed with them. It’s all about context. JK not only wants $25mil/year but also wants a team to facilitate a trade to keep his Bird Rights. As the Lakers, why would you give up assets
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse Yes I agree, it is unfortunate timing for Kuminga that this is the offseason where there is really not much cap space to go around. Teams now are very unwilling to go into the first/second aprons and are preserving their full NTPMLE/Trade Exception. It is good for the Lakers tho.
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse yes but the Mavs gave him the Non Taxpayer MLE. I don’t think anyone wanted to go to the Mavs at the time, and Naji was looking like he was about to breakout at the time. The Lakers are going to have to free up cap space AND send assets to get JK. It’s all context.
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse THANK YOU BRO. we can agree on $17mil/year. If we pick him up for that contract while sending out a mix of Laravia, Hardy, or Vando we would still keep the Non-Taxpayer MLE. I highly doubt that the Lakers’ offer of 2/$20mil was firm. Theyre just tryna negotiate.
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse 2. Keep picks to get off of someone at the trade deadline/next off season if someone is not working out. Mamu overpay, Grimes overpay, we would have to give picks and swaps to get off of them if they don’t work out. Only other option would be getting off a young player for assets
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse got a big contract for the same situation, but at least we got to see PWatt go crazy for a whole month when Jokic was out.
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse ofc it has to be a sign and trade, JK wants to keep his bird rights. You are dumber than dumb 😂. Lakers have too many playere rn anyways
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse AND pay him $25mil/year when you have no competition? You must not know economics. Simple supply/demand. If you have no competition, why would you pay them more than you have to. Again, Lakers are the only offer so they ARE his market.
@Prophet_Logic17@LALMuse bro you must know nothing about basketball at all. MULTIPLE sources said the Lakers offered 2 years/$20mil. The Lakers are tied for the most national TV games and he’ll be third scoring option. No one else has gave him an offer. You must take the slow bus.
@Prophet_Logic17@LALMuse ydkb. he’s going to the lakers because nowhere else is a better situation for him AND has enough money for him. Wolves can give max $6mil/year. his market is the laker’s offer because that is his only current offer. sybau
@Prophet_Logic17@TheRealMorphius@LALMuse jalen green is a universally recognized bad contract, OG was overpaid and is 10x the player JK is, Wiggins and AG are both extremely proven players. When Wiggins was 23 he was making less than $8mil/year 😂 ydkb
