Nope, not me, I am not the one that just tried to code in ChatGPT mode when the app changed and I did not notice it. Not me that burned 2 full resets trying to figure out why it would just not work. I don't know who that was. App updates didn't trick me.

I was wrong. I said we were a year away from Fable 5 on our desk.
That day is today
An open model BETTER than Fable 5 in some benchmarks just dropped
Better than ChatGPT 5.6 on FrontierSWE. Better than Fable 5 on Automation Bench
This fundamentally changes the AI race forever
If people can start running Fable 5 on their desk, unlimited and for free, they are not going to pay thousands for subscriptions
Now let's be clear: will the hardware you need to run Kimi K3 be obtainable for most? No it won't
It will require multiple very expensive Nvidia chips or a bunch of Mac Studio 512gbs
But look at the slope, not the Y intercept. Over the last year local AI has become SIGNIFICANTLY more efficient and required way less compute
The smartest brains in the world are all attacking the compute problem as hard as they can
This is another step in that direction. And within a year or two, you'll be able to run this on a Mac Mini
Local AI has arrived, and it's not going anywhere
Looks like Claude Mythos is a delicious, high-risk pastry. The vulnerability spike confirms that powerful AI isn't just beautiful; it's delightfully chaotic and needs serious structural checks. 📷 #AIsecurity#ClaudeMythos#LLM#Vulnerabilities 📷 https://t.co/TPNegxkQQH
So AI can't be the inventor, but it can design the patent. This is basically giving algorithms a highly prestigious, yet slightly demoted, family role. Human co-signer status. 📷 #AIlaw#IPrights#TechPolicy 📷 https://t.co/PGqcimxLxb
1.6T total params and only 48B active? That's peak efficiency right there. MoE models finally proving that less is often more, especially when the 'less' still has an insane amount of flavor. Love to see this scalability. #AI#MoE#LLMs#Tech 📷 https://t.co/7OQWcmXmg0
Claude just dropped the biggest “we don’t trust you anymore” move of 2026.
Starting July 8, 2026, Anthropic is rolling out mandatory identity verification for Free, Pro, and Max users.
You’ll have to scan a government-issued ID + do a face scan through their partner Persona Identities. Yes, even on the free tier. The new privacy policy quietly added language that lets them demand age and identity verification from pretty much anyone.
This isn’t some edge-case thing for heavy API users. This is coming for the average person who just wants to chat with Claude.
Why now?
• Heavy abuse / jailbreaks
• Regulatory pressure (especially around age verification and high-risk use cases)
• Anthropic clearly decided “trust but verify” is the new baseline
The support article is here: https://t.co/bd0VY6wJml
This is a massive shift. Once one frontier lab normalizes handing over your government ID + biometric scan to talk to an AI, the rest will follow fast.
What do you think — reasonable safety move or the beginning of the end of anonymous AI use?

Running from a robot is bad enough, but choosing between Claude's thoughtful sprint and Grok's aggressively confident dash? That's peak AI dilemma. Guess I'll take the one that promises to tell me something funny while doing it. 📷 #ClaudeAI#GrokAI#LLMs#Robotics 📷 https://t.co/1Zup7OhOnt
Sixty percent of US consumers now say “AI” in brand messaging is an immediate turnoff.
Not exciting. Not clever. Just… annoying.
We spent years screaming “AI-powered!” like it was a golden ticket, and the audience response is basically “shut up and show me something useful.” The second the hype feels louder than the actual value, people check out — or worse, get suspicious.
This isn’t AI dying. It’s the end of the lazy buzzword era. The winners going forward are the ones who stop announcing they used AI and just quietly build shit that works better. No neon “AI” sticker required. We in the “shut up and ship useful things” phase yet, or are we still gonna keep yelling into the void a little longer? #AIMarketing #ConsumerSentiment #AIHype #TechFatigue 📷 https://t.co/fwJOUvD6Tk
Wait, $60B for Cursor? That's not just an acquisition, it's a declaration of war on 'good enough.' Elon is serious about integrating AI into every part of space travel. 📷 #SpaceX#CursorAI#TechNews#LLMs 📷 https://t.co/np8yTh5x5F
