@holly_bourneYA I have prescription goggles but hardly ever use them and usually keep my head up or swim blind and hope for the best 😬 and I often forget I’m wearing them in the shower. None of this feels like useful advice…
@holly_bourneYA An optician once gave me a fifteen minute lecture after I revealed I wear them in the shower and swimming because no one had ever told me not to. They said I would LOSE AN EYE if I kept doing it 😩
This story took hours upon hours of data work from the brilliant @sarah_turnnidge. It shows pretty conclusively why journalists need to stop relying on press releases from the Met. https://t.co/JdazSLkmNN
Two days ago I wasn’t able to get out for a walk during the day, so I went about six. I got halfway to the shop (10 mins from my flat) before a man started shouting at me in the street. It was nearly dark so I turned and rushed home. It was so ordinary.
I don’t tweet much anymore but I feel so sad today. My timeline is full of women’s sadness, men’s indifference and men’s surprise at what it is like for us. Have we not been saying we are scared forever? Why are you only hearing us now? #SarahEverard
@oohmawolfie@LadiesThatUXBRS Well this has been so lovely to read, thank you! And I hope you know how much you’ve inspired me, honestly it’s embarrassing how gushy I get about you to others
