@harbdoesthings @The_CasualGam3r Oh yeah, I was an active gamer from 1986 to about 1991, casual gamer after that (consoles round at my mates house, stuff like that) and then I just stopped.

Amazing some of the simple stuff we would get locked into during the 8 bit era.

@The_CasualGam3r I think that game sold a lot of Amigas. I remember looking at the adverts for it, I didn't bother with the Amstrad cpc version, because I knew it would be rubbish compared to the 16 bit. Strangely, when I got an ST in 89 and an amiga after that, I never got a copy.

@harbdoesthings @The_CasualGam3r Yeah, they were just a little bit late to the party. Same processor as the speccy, so ports over from the ZX were easy enough. Colours were good, sound was better than speccy not as good as c64, the C64 had that hardware scroll chip, so some games were smoother. No regrets.

@harbdoesthings @The_CasualGam3r I asked for a C64, but my gran went to Dixons....which didn't sell them. They convinced her to get the Amstrad instead.

The games weren't as good but I actually learned to type on it and passed my GCSEs, cos my handwriting was unreadable.

@The_CasualGam3r oooh, is that the greenscreen? Yes I had that. Fortunately my christian aunt and uncle had decided against having television in the house cos it's evil and swapped me a 14" colour portable for my greenscreen, because they thought they might get a PC one day. Result!
