@BellularGaming Bit confusing timing. This has been long solved. Should be art of something currently happening like the Void Assaults or something for 12.1
@BaegulTheDwarf Their changes are not interesting at all. Sanded down any edge they had but for some reason kept racism even against other Horde races. The stuff with Murder Row should’ve been the vibes we got throughout all of Silvermoon. Not the millennial “boop the snoot” cringe shit we got.
@that_kind_oforc I don’t even think TWW was that good. Each patch was fine on its own but I did not feel any real flow between them, not to mention a bunch of ditched plots we 100% won’t see in TLT
@BellularGaming@TheRedShirtGuy At some point the people designing and writing this stuff need to see it’s not good. Blaming it on execs every single time only cushions the devs from properly hearing our feedback.
@BellularGaming@TheRedShirtGuy I feel at some point we also have to hold the devs accountable. It’s tiring seeing problem after problem and poor design. Even if this patch released with no bugs, there are severe design flaws in Decor Duel, Abyss Anglers and Void Assaults.
@BellularGaming@TheRedShirtGuy We see interviews with devs about the story, like uniting the elves not being easily won or how oppressive the Darkwell is, and both are solved in 12.0. Story content is being designed around raiding prog, not the time the story needs to breathe.
@that_kind_oforc It’s incredibly frustrating. With the Blood Elves taking power from the Sunwell, I would’ve loved to see the effects the Darkwell had on them. Causing them to have hallucinations, hear voices, etc. That would’ve done loads to give them a better understanding of the Void Elves
@that_kind_oforc Bliss has an issue with pacing. In TWW, each patch felt nice on its own but they did not mesh to me. Undermine should’ve been an expansion-level zone. Several abandoned plots. Same shit being repeated in Midnight. I do not have much hope for TLT
@icyveins The fucking story. Faction representation. No more young, centrist main character to talk down to established favorites and be a mouthpiece for Blizzard’s spineless writers.
@BellularGaming Even if we do get Horde content, I’m scared for what it’ll be. The writers have wholly disregarded what made BElves popular. And with my fav race, the Forsaken, we just actively kill them in Windrunner Spire for no valid reason. I do not trust the writers to care about the story.
@BellularGaming I do not care about Arator. He’s in his 30s? 40s? Is a trained Paladin and we are still retreading the “young centrist pure goody two-shoes” shit we saw with Anduin. The Void Elves are welcome in Silvermoon now so what’s their story gonna be? Elf unity in 3 quests. Thrilling.
@BellularGaming Would’ve really liked to see Forsaken present at Voidstorm helping the VElves adapt. Or more Fel users outside of Murder Row. The Horde is about going against tropes and being the “monster” faction. So far it feels like Blizz is defanging the Horde.
@BellularGaming Finished the campaign and working on getting my character to 90 and unlocking everything. So far overall I really like it! I do think the writing does the Blood Elves a disservice by ignoring their past and homogenizing their culture while ignoring cooler, edgy Horde vibes.
@BellularGaming For example, the heavy-handed antagonistic view of the Light is kinda annoying. They aren’t using much nuance there. It’s obvious we’ll face Turalyon or another Light-based enemy at some point. VElves are used as *the* Shadow experts while other races with experience get ignored.
@emeelzia I spent all my free time yesterday working on my house. I want to post it to my Bluesky account and I’d like to tag you to give you credit. Do you use Bluesky or is X fine to mention?
