The Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi:
"Egypt charges hundreds of thousands of dollars for every passage through the Suez Canal, with fees exceeding one million dollars for large container ships and tankers. Turkey imposes transit fees for vessels passing through the Bosphorus Strait. Canada charges fees for the St. Lawrence Seaway. Panama collects hundreds of thousands of dollars per transit, reaching up to 500,000 dollars for large Neo-Panamax vessels. The United States also charges fees related to the St. Lawrence Seaway.
Yet when Iran keeps the Strait of Hormuz open for free passage for decades, without imposing any transit fees, despite facing sanctions, isolation, and relentless accusations, it is portrayed as the problem.
Isn’t it hypocritical to condemn Iran while ignoring the fact that many other countries profit from controlling vital waterways? And you still expect me to believe that Iran is the ‘bad guy’ here?"
These are the bodies of 23 lifeless Northerners recently massacred by bandits. Reported that about 50 women & children were also injured and hospitalized. Not even a statement from Minister of Defence whose village is nearby. It’s not even tending on Northern media.
From paying us off to ignore the daily killings of our brothers and sisters, to now buying cheap data for us to throw zina accusations on Sheikh Pantami & Gabon because of politics? What has poverty turned us Arewa people into fisabilillah?
Even if they promised you the whole dunya, it is not worth risking even the smoke of Jahannam.
Fear Allah brothers:
“Verily, those who accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are good believers are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter, and for them will be a great torment.” - An-Nur 24:23
I say let me remind you, that as at 30th June 2026, the Nisāb for Zakāt is estimated at ₦15,359,500.00.
What does that mean?
Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth a Muslim must own continuously for one lunar (Hijri) year before Zakat becomes obligatory. In this case, based on the current value of 85 grams of gold and the prevailing exchange rate, anyone whose total Zakatable assets—such as cash, savings, gold, silver, business inventory, investments, and money owed to them (after deducting eligible debts)—equal or exceed ₦15,359,500 is required to pay Zakat. The amount of Zakat due is 2.5% (one-fortieth) of the qualifying wealth, not the entire ₦15.36 million. For example, if your net Zakatable wealth is exactly ₦15,359,500, your Zakat would be about ₦383,988 (2.5%), provided you have held that level of wealth for a full Hijri year.
Fear Allãh and give out your Zakāt.
UPDATE: The victims of yesterday afternoon's brutal bandit attacks across communities of Sauna Ward in Talata Mafara LGA, Zamfara State, are being laid to rest.
Behind every grave is a family whose life has been changed forever. 25 innocent people mostly farmers lost their lives in this senseless attack.
May Allah (SWT) forgive their shortcomings, grant them Aljannah Firdaus and give their families the strength to bear this painful loss. Ameen.
Northwest Nigeria cannot continue to normalize mass burials caused by insecurity.
