Crazy statistical illiteracy. Garg compares this year’s new-series GDP with last year’s old-series GDP! He gets 2.6% nominal. Congress then sells that as 2.6% real growth.

If you change the base year and the methodology, you do not freeze last year’s Q1. Either restate both quarters on the new series, or calculate this year’s Q1 on the old base and methods and then compare. You cannot mix the two. Growth is always same series, same method.

Q1 vs Q1 on the new 2022-23 series is 7.8% real and 10.3% nominal. That is the only valid comparison. It is embarrassing that this disgruntled man was Finance Secretary in the Modi Govt. WDTP

An RTI revelation has exposed a little-known VVIP privilege that has sent shockwaves. The RTI reveals that the manner in which the salary structure of Telangana MLAs/MLCs are drawn up it is Telangana taxpayers who are reportedly picking up the income-tax tab of sitting legislators.

RTI shows that the legislators are paid only a small basic salary while the rest of their salary is paid out as reimbursements.

The practice means the tax liability arising from a legislator’s salary and perks is borne by the state exchequer, rather than the MLA.

The Governor had reportedly raised concerns over the arrangement weeks ago.

Other states are moving away from such tax exemptions but Telangana isn't.

जबकि माननीय सूर्यकांत के समक्ष ऐसे उदाहरण हैं कि इन्हीं आयोजकों के कारण दिल्ली में तीन दिन क्या होता रहा। फट्टू सरकार की %# इतनी फटी हुई थी कि आयोजकों को नामित तक नहीं कर पाई कि इनका ही दायित्व बनता था।

ये चल रहा है इस देश में। दंगाइयों को सरकार बचा रही है ताकि उनके राम मंदिर लूट के पाप को डायवर्ट करने का रिवार्ड उन्हें दिया जा सके। जनता सब देख रही है।
