Let us introduce our Acute Assessment Units Doctors' Assistants!
They are always super busy on the ward doing bloods/cannulas/ECGs & chasing things.
They also draft discharge letters ready for our medical team to approve & prescribe on!

Based on some recent conversations, I felt like a thread was needed on some of the issues surrounding medical training, and how they intersect with the long term workforce plan.
Buckle in for a long one

The first time I held hands with my first boyfriend, he told me my hands were too dry & suggested *kindly* that I could use something to soften them because he loved holding my hand. He also then told me that I didnโt look good in jeans and he only wanted me to look my very best because I am so beautiful. He also told me he was with me for my brains and intelligence and because I was so strong and looks were not important to him. He then gave me *advice* on how I could get a flatter stomach by doing sit-ups. These were always โsuggestionsโ because he loved me so much and only wanted the best for me. People couch coercive control in benevolence and this is why it is difficult to talk about and so important to talk about.
