5 years ago today, Taylor Swift released ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’
The comeback marked a moment in pop culture and topped charts worldwide, including the Billboard Hot 100 and UK. It broke the 24-hour YouTube record at the time and served as the lead single to ‘reputation.’
If your personality is not delightful and your listening not generous, consider withholding your opinions until you rectify that crucial problem—unless, of course, your goal is to simply speak rather than to be understood, in which case, blab on for the satisfaction of your ego.
College-bound fans of @taylorswift13 will want to leave a “Blank Space” in their schedule this semester.
Students at @UTAustin will soon be able to take a literary course on the singer’s extensive discography.

@tyfgibson As long as there’s room & grace for the reality of people asking “Why/Why me?” not as an intellectual query but as a primal releasing of raw pain/lancing & expressing a boil of the soul.
Mending after such extended & excruciating rending is such a healing miracle that it is absolutely worth it no matter how long it takes to get there 💔😭
And I’ve known enough pain to know God really has to carry you while you’re in a coma at times…
Please don’t teach your sensitive and empathic kids to “toughen up” for the world. Teach them how to adapt to the world in a way that honors how they are made and how to use their strength there. The world needs their empathy.
