@kendallgrl This was the rational response. Gwayne and Corlys came up with two different proposals each claiming to represent an authority that doesn’t exist. Daemon has a hungry, angry army that’s basically marched thru the whole map. He had to see the attack thru.

Maybe im remembering that GoT was better than it actually is but it really feels like so very little has happened in #HOTD S2 and S3. The pacing has been absolutely atrocious from the S2 finale all thru S3. That battle was lame.

I think this season of #HOTD sufferly greatly from a lack of consistent action. And I’m not talking specifically about battles. It’s supposed to be “show not tell” but it’s the other way around here. Dialogue is great but it needs to lead very clearly to action.

I’m so glad Rhaenyra’s decision to just let whoever claim a dragon finally backfires here. Such a risky gamble. Good consistency from the writers.

Regardless of what happens in the finale Rhaenyra has unfortunately been an absolutely miserable queen. Always complaining, always being saved by people she doesn’t appreciate. Completely delusional about her judgement and could not possibly inspire any less confidence.

My biggest issue with this season has been the complete lack of cohesion. Some cuts are smooth but there are just too many scenes and too little time spent on them. We don’t get a chance to sit with anything and then it’s on to the next. S1 was an accomplishment…

Some won’t like the way he died but it’s a fitting end. He died a meaningless death as he suspected he would. Arguably the best-written character in the whole series.
