Direct Maritime Route Between Türkiye and Somalia Launched

A ceremony was held at Mogadishu Port to mark the arrival of Konrad, the first Akkon Lines vessel operating on a direct route between Türkiye and Somalia. The event was attended by Somalia’s Minister of Ports and Marine Transport @Amohamednur representatives of the Somali Chamber of Commerce, the Turkish Embassy’s Commercial Counsellorship, Akkon Lines, and Ocean Network Shipping. @AKKARGROUP

Akkon Lines launch in Somalia is expected to strengthen trade links by connecting Somalia directly to Türkiye and, through its global network, to international markets, helping reduce logistics costs and improve market access.
