Inspiring keynote address by Melissa Ludtke to kick off 3 days of presentations and discussions at the 37th annual Cooperstown Symposium at the @baseballhall#HOFSymposium
The Hall of Fame remembers Bob Horner, who passed away at 68.
Debuting days after the @Braves drafted him No. 1 overall, Horner was named the 1978 NL Rookie of the Year.
The bat he used in 1986 to record the 11th four-home run game in AL/NL history is preserved in Cooperstown.
Exciting news—a first look at the cover design for my upcoming book, "Baseball Changes Channels: The Dodgers, the Giants and the Birth of Pay TV." Coming from @McFarlandBooks in late 2026, stay tuned for updates!

@alsalazar25@baseballhall@SUNY_Oneonta Unfortunately, no. At this point in my career, I thought it best to save what game I have left for the Stickmen old timers tilts.
It’s been a terrific 3 days of entertaining and informative sessions at this year’s Symposium. Thanks to @baseballhall and @SUNY_Oneonta for all your hard work in putting it together!
A favorite for many attendees of our annual Symposium is town ball, an 18th and 19th century precursor to modern baseball. Zoom in to check out the ummp!
@HoopsWeiss The only thing good about the Crown is that it’s made the NIT a true mid major tournament featuring worthy teams overlooked by the March Madness selection committee, rather than a competition among mediocre P4 teams with losing league records who were left out of the NCAA.
Huge, huge, huge for the Nats. Control of one’s own TV rights is essential in MLB, particularly in today’s rapidly changing media environment. Also very well may open the door for a newly revised bid for the team by Ted Leonsis. #Nationals
