@CiarliniKoerner Agreed, the engine is unarmoured and you're not going anywhere without that.
Also compulsory mention of the 15 inch gauge Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and it's armored train. :D
@AnimarchyYT Irish front, you sit in a cottage drinking tay beside a turf fire and occasionally walk out to watch Hurricanes and Gladiators scramble to intercept wandering British Barrage Balloons.
@NiecyOKeeffe Those two bombs were blackcats compared to what's around today. The knowledge that the orange one carried around the briefcase that controls so many of these horrifying weapons is quite scary.
@Ballykilcavan@LunchtimeLiveNT According to the Business owners I know in the area the Picnic itself does very little for them, the only gain is the
few people who work on the site setting up and taking down before and after.
@EricLuke2 Came across this photo in a random search for something else. That engine is still in Stradbally and will be working this weekend during the rally!
@NiecyOKeeffe I was on a steam hauled Railtour years ago and the engine crew did that with the Whistle to some unsuspecting golfers just outside of Graystones. The engine was coasting and they're silent so the whistling was deafening. They were good sports though as they turned and waved. 😁
@Care2much18 Or perhaps the rate of murder has stayed the same but he didn't have a haunted bit of glass in his pocket with a constant news feed everywhere he went and therefore didn't think about it so much?
