@TylerKluver I made the trip to Graze from Charlotte NC (passing thru Iowa)….I’m having your recommendation - TigerHawk, chicken lips and sourdough pizza. Unfortunately Pete and Kim were not here to give you and the WTW the shout out….let them know you have nationwide draw and influence!
My son insisted on listening to that 3min clip of the pod 3 times before we could advance…he loved it. And @TylerKluver we start most mornings in the car before school drop off with your opening “Let’s Have a Day….Let’s Go!” intro followed by the music. The kid loves it and gets him fired up.
Only 3 mins into the @TylerKluver / @DavidEickholt Power hour preview and hearing Eickholt shotguns a warm Starbucks double espresso at 530am every Saturday…even on a bye week…is legendary. Luke warm espresso will wake your ass up! Best show around guys…you need a name for the show. “Press Conference Espresso Hour”?
@DavidEickholt and @EliotClough just listened to the pod Heck vs Hank. You are spot on…if Heck doesn’t start against UMinn (or shortly thereafter), he is gone in the portal this summer and we are all kicking ourselves…this year is special but think about next year :) with nearly all our 22 back. KF and Lester need to be building for the future. Tate (#5) x 2nd coming = Heck (#10)….”Fu*king Jump…F*king Jump to starting Heck!” He is a gamer…but KF likely starts Hank Brown against UMinn. Love the show!
In the instance of two “right” decisions, the best choice is often to maximize optionality and consider which decision you’d regret…Heck absolutely provides the offense more options / opens up Lester’s play calling. More mobile and opens up more roll outs, etc. Also appears to want to stretch the field more - the ballzy throw to RVZ on 3rd and 3 in the 1st quarter…Hank doesn’t take the chance. I’d gladly trade an INT a game to have Heck in there…he can score 21 points a quarter with this team (not sure Hank can score 21 in a game…handoffs and check downs). Heck is a gamer.. second coming of Drew Tate. The team has more energy when he is out there too.
And then which QB would you rather NOT lose this offseason. If Heck doesn’t start against Minny he is gone to the portal this offseason (and we are all regretful). We can find a conservative check down Hank anywhere. I’d rather take an L with a gamer then deal with a shoulda, coulda, woulda L if Hank starts and has an L…yes Hank beat ISU and yes Hank “beat” Michigan…but if you take away the “everything had to go our way final drive at Michigan”, no way we are even having this debate. If Heck had started at Michigan are we even in that situation - don’t know. Fans are holding up the Michigan game winning drive as if Hank will always pull it out…that was a 1/100 drive. Hank is a good system QB…but Heck gives us a chance to have this be a special season. We also need to think about next year…which of these two do we want to lead the team next year (we will be even better next year with much of the two deep coming back … and one of these two QBs is going to hit the portal - just the world we live in now.)
I also wonder if this was KFs magical plan all along…he knew Heck would get a chance at some point this season. Does he stay in the game/prep? The fact that KF said Heck had a great week of prep/practice after Michigan (when he could have written it off) says a lot about the kids mental toughness and mindset.
Bottom line with Heck I feel like we have a shot against any team … with Hank under center I didn’t feel like we had a shot against OSU.
Hank didn’t “lose” the job but Heck in my view has earned the right to start at Minnesota. ISU is not that good this year…Michigan is not that good this year…. The eye test has said Heck for a long time. Give the kid the ball.
Long time listener to your pods - especially like the new WUW with Kluver. GO HAWKS!!!!
And we absolutely need to be thinking about next year…this team is special now. But wait until next year when we have nearly the entire two deep back. We need a QB that is a playmaker who we can build around. Lester will have a hay day scheming over the summer.
Perhaps this was always part of KFs plan…see how Heck handled the adversity of not initially being the starting QB.
Heck just looks the part. 2nd coming of Drew Tate…the team appears to rally around him.
In the instance of two “right” decisions, the best course is maximizing optionality and consider which decision you’d regret…Heck absolutely provides the offense more options / opens up Lester’s play calling. @AmericanAir on AA1804 today 8/11/26 from SAT to CLT. The flight attendant (Jo) in the front cabin did an amazing job!!! She is a most valuable person (MVP) for AA.
I’ve launched my first official app on the Apple App Store.
Putting Sim - Looper Line
Offers putting practice based on prescribed breaks and distances. Daily 18 hole competition.
Fun to build & having a mathematical system to set an initial aiming has helped me save putts per round.

@CharlotteFC can we start to reserve bobbleheads for Season Ticket holders? Show up at 645pm and all gone…nearly everyone who has one in my club section 321 I’ve never seen at a game. I guess it works to attract new fans but sux for your loyal supporters. Really, really frustrating … disappointed kids.
A very, very true statement!!
They also sacrifice (family time, forgo vacations, etc.) more than people will ever know (especially in the early years) and are not afraid to fail.
The fear of failure and the unwillingness to work your tail off is what holds many people back generally.
@katarinaore I made it through after my third rejection…it is a rite of passage. I’m told subsequet submissions of new apps get easier. I’m working on my second submission right now
@ToddWenning Which ones do you prefer / like? My go to is @AIDailyBrief. Concise, consistent and @nlw is simply very good at what he does. I’ve not listened to many others
@ChadLeistikow And let us not forget, after beating two SEC foes in back to back games to get to the Sweet Sixteen (one of which was the defending champ). An amazing “strength of schedule” to get to the Elite Eight.
It has been fun following you and the journey. You are an inspiration to all to simply follow one’s passion. Thereafter, everything else typically falls in line.
I too am a fellow Iowan who has been very fortunate and lucky in my career and I ascribe a ton of that “luck” to my youth / athletics / schooling in Iowa.
@nloper you should invite Tyler on your pod. It would be a great episode. An amazing story.
