@katebarstool Have you tried calling your Congressman - district office, not DC. They have specialized caseworkers that can work on your behalf with gov agencies.

@BFW Most communities in Lake County have their own festivals and parades - beyond the 4th of July. In the summer/fall there is always somewhere to go for some outdoor eating and activities.

@BFW Diamond Lake is not too far, but beyond shoreline fishing you’ll want to go to the Chain O’ Lakes. Mundelein will have some good taco spots, and going further north in Lake County is where you’ll find more diner/Mom & Pop spots. Welcome!
