Doctors are on strike nationwide due to unpaid salary and arrears, poor working condition and environment, salary structures not adjusted, people are not treated, people are suffering and dying and there is suppose to be a government, there is supposed to be senate, National Assembly in this country right???

How wicked can the men in power be??

When I say pharaohs don’t know how to let go and only God delivers from the hands of pharaohs, it’s clearer by the day.

You refuse to prioritise the well being, health, security, education to mention a few of the people you lead.
There is no way you will not get the reward of the wickedness you are sowing. Unfortunately it doesn’t stop with you, what you sow, you generation unborn will reap it if the Lord tarries. You are destroying their future already.
Nigerian 🇳🇬 government, Nigerian 🇳🇬 leaders, you have refused to repent and I pity you!

1. Do you know that a doctor working in Katsina earns far less than a doctor working in some states like Zamfara, with almost a N150k difference?

2. Do you know that Katsina State still pays health workers a hazard allowance of five thousand naira (N5k) per month?

3. A house officer in Katsina is paid less than N200k per month compared to other places that pay more than N250k?

All these, sir, are as a result of the Katsina State Government not implementing the full CONMESS salary structure for medical doctors.

So, before we accuse doctors of being unpatriotic, I think the better approach is to look at how doctors and other health care professionals are being treated in Katsina.

Treat them well, and see how they respond in kind.

In 2012, no Nigerian Doctor could enter Residency without writing and passing their Primaries.

Today, Residency slots are empty EVEN THOUGH many no longer require you to write Primaries.

What’s worse, Interns and Medical House Officers are dropping out of practice.

People have lost faith in clinical practice here in Nigeria, venturing into practice elsewhere or other businesses entirely.

We are in CRISIS! And we are still here debating about the welfare of our Doctors.

Salary: N520k
Private Practice: N2m profit
Impact: Retainerships, mentoring med students, grateful patients , service to family & community.

Consultant in UK:
Salary: £5,600
Locum: £6000
Impact: Teaching/mentoring resident doctors, missions in Africa, worried about litigations from patients. World class practice.

Both are in same specialty : Family Physicians.
