Chase HEALTH, not Velocity
Did you wake up this morning focused on throwing harder, or getting your arm HEALTHIER?
If you focus on the HEALTH, the velocity comes as a by-product.
And so does the probability of having a much longer career.
#1Arm, #1Career
Losers will make excuses for what they didn't accomplish.
Winners will make plays and when they fall short they own their mistakes and focus on getting better one rep at a time.
There's a difference in winners and losers and you'll immediately notice the type of player you have in how they react and what their attitude displays when push comes to shove.
Faith is believing what you can't see. You can't see the wind but you see the trees move ? We can't see Jesus but miracles happen every single day. Don't ever forget that. 💕Faith is believing without seeing. God is real. He is going to return and take us all to heaven someday real soon. Be ready. 🙏
@jaegersports@OU_Softball@GassoPatty This would be a great moveable Band attachment machine to have multiple athletes knocking out numerous exercises!!
There is 99% chance your health and fitness program doesn’t need:
- a detox
- hours of cardio
- a starvation diet
- a new supplement
- a new exercise routine
There is a 100% chance it needs:
- consistent strength training
- consistent healthy food
- consistent sleep
The quicker you realize that health and fitness should be a part of your life forever, the quicker you realize that fad diets and unsustainable results aren’t the answer.
It’s truly hard to believe the shots are still on the market… not only that, they’re on the pediatric vaccine schedule.
All risk, no benefit… any other product would have been pulled a long time ago. @US_FDA
It’s getting tougher and tougher to find coaches interested in college jobs. The combination of low pay, long hours, and lots of 💩from sport coaches makes college strength and conditioning less appealing.
"What specialized training program do you need if you can't do push ups and run a mile?" - Jim Wendler
I think Jim said 40 push ups which nowadays seems very far fetched.
What Jim means is simple; More GPP. More all around athleticism and fitness before specificity.
Here's a great opportunity for @tkelce & @JasonKelce to be true American heroes. Cancel the deal, give back the dirty money, and tell American kids who look up to you to eat eggs and bacon for breakfast!
@GeneralMills doesn't care about the health of American kids, but I believe you do...
I had someone who saw my 34th birthday post ask me, "Wendi, you aren't married and you don't have kids. Why not?" I also get super gross DMs from random men and often have to hit block. I am sure a lot of other women on social media can relate.
But I am picky about my personal time. I also went through an abusive relationship 4 years ago and it took time to heal. I also run a business that has employees, I am writing a book, I speak at events, I coach athletes, and I have little time to myself. I dedicate my time to serving others, Jesus, and fitness.
I have had to cancel so many dates and time with friends and family to work and help others. Running a small business is not for the faint of heart. Also, your personal life will never be understood by those who aren't personally vested in helping others.
Would I love to get married and have children? ABSOLUTELY! I have made choices to help others and do what I can to make this world a better place. I have personally sacrificed a lot to live the modest life I do.
Before you assume a woman doesn't want children or a family maybe consider she is waiting for the Lord to direct her steps and bring a Godly man her way instead of rushing into something that isn't the Lord's will.
Saturday wisdom for you..I encourage everyone to take your time and trust God! Who you share your life with will be the second most important decision you make. The first is putting your faith in Christ.
Nick Saban is the GOAT of college football.
His success is no accident—it’s a product of relentless standards, a refusal to accept mediocrity, and an intense focus on the process.
Here are 10 Reasons that made Saban the GOAT.
1. STANDARDS - Standards Matter. They set the bar and the Tone. In championship programs, standards are clear and known by all.
"The expectations are what they are here, and we don't run around talking about them."
2. MEDIOCRITY - One of his all-time classic quotes. High achievers separate themselves. You are who you hang with. Hang with the best.
"Mediocre people don’t like high achievers, and high achievers don’t like mediocre people."
3. TWO PAINS - There are two pains in life: discipline and disappointment. It is a simple choice. You choose.
"There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you’ll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment."
4. THE PRESENT - The great teams live in the present, in the now, and they control the controllable.
"What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today makes a difference."
5. LOSING - The most competitive people hate to lose more than they love to win. Losing is a separator.
"I don't like to lose. I don't expect to lose."
6. RESILIENCE - Resilient Teams WIN. They always find a way!
"One thing about championship teams is that they’re resilient. No matter what is thrown at them, no matter how deep the hole, they find a way to bounce back and overcome adversity."
7. FOCUS - Control YOU.
"Eliminate the clutter and all of the things that are going on outside and focus on the things that you can control with how you go about and take care of your business. Take the other team out of the game and make it all about you and what you do."
8. PROCESS - The best coaches and teams are process-oriented. The process is always the PRIZE.
"Process guarantees success. A good process produces good results."
9. THE HOW - The how matters. A lot. Championship teams do not focus on the "what." They focus on "How" they do things.
"We're not going to talk about what we're going to accomplish. We're going to talk about how we're going to do it."
10. TIMELINESS - Simple but true. Showing up on time is about commitment—every day. Details matter.
"Be on time, because it shows you care."
