People who remember to take their reusable bags with them when they go grocery shopping really have their lives together.

2023 began w/ 23 greyhounds on our waiting list. With industry overbreeding and community burnout following COVID, we're distinctly aware of the reality these beautiful hounds face without rescue.

But you know, it's over right?

[Victorian Department of Health @VicGovDH]

This week we reported 20,398 new cases, averaging 352 daily hospitalisations and 8 daily ICU admissions.

46 deaths were reported in the past 7 days.

Our thoughts are with those in hospital, and the families of people who have lost their lives.

In 2006 the @VictorianLabor approved a flood wall to @FlemingtonVRC.
Why?
Unfortunately the profits of horse racing & gambling come first.

Being on a floodplain, the wall effectively displaces water across the community, decimating homes, businesses, wildlife & environment.

Racing supporters:

Horse racing is a working class activity, how dare you not support it. 😤

Also racing supporters:

So glad we built that wall around Flemington Racecourse so we could flood the homes of the inner west working class instead of the track. 🥰

🤔 If you could only show someone ONE photo to convince them to adopt or foster a #greyhound, which photo would you show them?
