Thought of the day: When Prince Philip turns 100, will he get a telegram from the Queen? And who will the Queen get a telegram from on her 100th birthday? #QuestionOfTheDay
Yes, I am furious and I don’t mind admitting it. I cannot bear to see young people from working class backgrounds shafted on an industrial scale by an elitist education system more concerned with grade inflation than fairness and social mobility. #LevellingDown
THREAD on new cases: We've been watching cases flatline and then increase for the last month. But was it just increased testing? Was the increase real? The answer, unfortunately, seems to be yes. The 7-day daily average of new cases has now risen for 14 of the last 15 days. 1/7
No surprises to find @airtransat are one of the airlines being named and shamed. The @MoneySavingExp survey found they'd refunded 0% of passengers with cancelled flights. #RefundPassengers
We have been reviewing the refund policies of airlines during the coronavirus pandemic.

@airtransat 'Offering great flexibility' would be giving people their money back for services you did not provide. You're about as flexible as a concrete pillar. Still waiting for you to tell me whether my landlord will accept the voucher credit so I can pay my rent.....
Since the start of the COVID-crisis, many airlines have been flouting passenger rights. They have been denying passengers their right to a refund for cancelled flights & misleading them by providing incorrect, partial or unclear information.

If you want to know who’s leading us through a pandemic that’s killed 1 in 1000 Britons and brought the worst recession in 300 years, our prime minister was today asked to give a message to bereaved families and responded with a joke about underpants
@WhichUK If the companies who are responding to these tweets dealt with refunds as swiftly as they reply to tweets, we'd all be better off. If they can tweet fake aplologies, why can't they process refunds?
@johnpeac@WhichUK@ExpediaUK Same. Blaming the airline. False platitudes on here, 'sorry to hear that, please message us so that we can continue to do nothing to help'
@ToriVonRadics @WhichUK@airtransat We're in the same boat I'm afraid. We've tried everything to get back what we're owed (and entitled to), they now have this on their website. What use is getting half my money?
TWELVE weeks on from when we first demanded that travel companies #RefundPassengers – are you STILL struggling to get your money back?
