My #Netflix10Dance edits. It's how I know I am in deep with something... the bloody urge to open some editing software that will lags my laptop to hell. Jfc I want this movie to have a sequel ๐ฅฒ
The make up and styling for the women in this show seems ... off somehow. Like that lady Mo Tae-hee ๐ฅฒ. She looks cute but so washed out, like the parlor a sick character usually get in dramas. The men got away with it cause they mostly wear simple class silhouette.
After watching Kdramas for like 15 years now, I really gotta stop trying to watch insanely popular romcom shows. They never match my taste. This Cool New World drama lol, is really janky. The acting is saving it a lot and even then it's a stretch to fully immerse
I love the way every song I listen to somehow remind me of the Shinyas.
Thanks #Netflix10Dance for the motivation ๐, this has been in my draft for lord knows how long ๐

When Suzuki kept pushing Sugiki into bed despite Sugiki looking visibly uncomfortable, i thought Suzuki was a bull in a china shop. but then Sugiki basically come out publicly by asking Suzuki to dance, i realised both of them are bulls... And they are each other's red flag ๐คฃ๐คฃ
@thenwtfisthis Interesting perspective ๐. For me, i saw it as him checking her to see if there is any indication of injury since she collided back-first. Also i love how detailed this scene is, the other dancer even reassured Sugiki when he was checking in on the injured dancer too.

This movie is essentially the story of two traumatised men who fell in love but found it difficult to communicate their feelings to each other, and gradually learned to do so, and I think thatโs beautiful.

...because of that scene in 10D ๐. Much as the scene was tension-filled and suggestive, it actually somehow managed to drill dance lesson info in my head ๐คฃ. Suzuki is a good teacher I guess ๐คฃ
Recently my company opened up a dance class, taught by another coworker who does amateur Latin dance. And the first lesson, he taught the hip move and the stance first as a way to acclimatize the class to the dance. I cannot tell them the reason I understood so quickly was...
@thenwtfisthis Yeah it's already insane to look the part in such short time, I think if they manage to dance perfectly too, they wouldn't be human ๐. The editing helped, but ultimately the actors performing the dance helped immensely w/ immersion that those wobbling doesn't even register ๐
That's why I find the reflexive derision from some experts whenever a film portrays their field imperfectly more off-putting than the inaccuracies themselves.
One thing 10D reinforced for me is that films don't need perfect technical accuracy to have value. Before watching it, I couldn't tell a waltz from a tango, nor do I really give a damn about social dance as a whole. ...
...sparking curiosity, inspiring hobbies, and building appreciation for a craft. Seeing the way the traditional art forms of my country becoming more and more underappreciated and struggling to gain financial stability, I appreciate this value even more.
Dont know what they put in that Tatsuki drama, but it freaking got me bawling by ep 10. By all intents & purposes, it isnt the kind of stories i have ever liked ๐๐.
