Where were you in 2015?
It seems like just yesterday to me.
#Bitcoin was priced around $200 per coin and it was mostly seen as a gimmick for nerds.
Perception of BTC has changed a lot since then, but it still isn't widely understood as a neutral reserve asset that can't be seized or debased.
The next 8 years will feel even faster.
It's just how our perception of time works: If you're 16, the last 8 years were half of your life.
But the next 8 years will only be a third of your life.
Bear markets can feel long... But time speeds up.
Looking back it will all feel like it happened in a blink of an eye.
In the coming 8 years we're going to see:
- Two Bitcoin halvings
- Bitcoin stock-to-flow surpassing Gold for the first time.
- ETF approvals, massive institutional ETF inflows
- Blackrock, Fidelity, et al. marketing and education campaign for BTC. (Systematic dismantling of FUD)
- More nation states, corporations, and major funds publicly stacking
- Likely sovereign debt crisis, massive money printing
- Mind-blowing technological innovations that bring down the cost of everything
If Bitcoin replicates the previous 8 year gain of 12,900% - it would be around $3,350,000 per coin.
Of course that's an overly simplistic calculation.
Nobody knows what the price will be 8 years from now.
But the more you understand how scarce BTC is relative to everything else, the more reasonable a number like that sounds.
Global wealth is projected to be $629 Trillion by 2027.
Could BTC take 10% of that?
Seems reasonable to me. And a growing list of Billionaires like Michael Saylor, Ricardo Salinas, Paul Tudor Jones, etc.
Tl;dr: Zoom out. Smoother sailing is ahead. If you're still here, they couldn't shake you out.
At this point you aren't going anywhere, so you may as well relax and enjoy the ride ๐
