@bruno_nwogu I’d say $1,000/month is pretty reasonable for 2 people. Most who think it’s high aren’t factoring that eating healthy isn’t cheap, and if you include things like Nigerian meals, fruits, and vegetables, it adds up quickly. Body maintenance easily justifies $500 per person.
It reduces clutter and avoids unnecessary conflicts.
That said, if containers serve different roles or require different security levels, separating rules still makes sense.
Curious how others handle NSG rules when scaling containers. Do you prefer consolidation or separation?
Ran into this during deployment…
I learned that when running multiple containers on the same VM from the same image, what really differentiates them is the port they’re exposed on.
When I deployed the first container, Azure automatically created an NSG rule for that port...
But as I added more containers with different ports, I started running into conflicts due to overlapping rule priorities.
A cleaner approach I found; when containers serve the same purpose, is to use a single NSG rule that allows multiple ports…
@msmocrown My wife and I have personally benefited from these resources.
It’s not easy, but with a strategic approach and persistence, things can improve. Many people go through this stage and find their way forward. Going back to Nigeria without a strong plan isn’t the best 🙏
@msmocrown I understand how tough this phase can be, it’s something many families face. It really comes down to why they both relocated in the first place and making sure you’re aligned on your long-term goals. This situation won’t last forever, but it does require patience and a plan…
@msmocrown There are supports available and if eligible, programs like OSAP can help through part-time study and grants to ease the financial pressure. Employment services like YMCA, ACCES can also connect you to job opportunities and even help with financial support.
…can quickly create confusion, especially as projects grow.
Mapping things out clearly from the start saves time and avoids unnecessary mistakes.
Still learning, but definitely getting better at spotting and fixing these issues early.

Quick lesson from my cloud project this week.
I ran into a frustrating deployment issue this week that turned into a valuable lesson in environment organization.
I had two container registries, pushed my image to one, and configured my App Service to pull from another, which…
…led to confusing errors and wasted time debugging the wrong thing.
It was a good reminder that in cloud environments, everything behaves exactly as configured.
Another key takeaway: naming conventions matter more than I initially thought. Similar resource names…
@kenkenlewu@boye4christ2006 We should remember that love alone doesn’t sustain a marriage. True, she could have been upfront about it, but since she wasn’t, it’s on them to work through it rather than assuming he should leave. Someone willing and able to support you with that kind of sum is rare.
@boye4christ2006 If I’m being honest , giving that much money before marriage especially when it’s a significant amount relative to your own means is huge. Wanting clarity about repayment doesn’t make her a bad person; it’s reasonable, and different people handle these situations differently.
-confidence to move forward knowing you can always roll back to a stable version if needed.
It’s a simple concept, but it shifts how you think about reliability, risk, and deploying to production.
Small improvements like this are making the whole cloud journey feel more real.
One thing that stood out to me this week while working on my monitoring app project was how important versioning is in real deployments.
Using versioned container images completely changes the deployment experience. Instead of worrying about breaking changes, you gain the-

Open to connecting with like-minded people in this space.

Sharing my cloud engineering journey.
Over the past year, I’ve been transitioning into cloud engineering , focusing on understanding systems by building and troubleshooting real projects.
Recently, I built and deployed a cloud-native monitoring service using Python…
@SkySportsPL This is true unfortunately. I’m a United fan and it didn’t seem like we’d have won the game without the red. When it got even with 10 men for both teams, Chelsea were way better.
@TaxDoctorNG …You’d have to adjust for the living standards and the typical salary ranges in each country. To have similar purchasing power there, you’d likely need a salary in the range of £4,500–£6,000/month, depending on where you live.
