this was the money shot for martin and gio, and it's honestly baffling how some people are twisting it into something negative. from episode one, the show already made it clear that these characters carry deep anger and unresolved father issues. their pain didnt start with his death, and it definitely didnt end there. so expecting them to suddenly break down and cry loudly just doesnt make sense. their characters grew up feeling unloved and emotionally disconnected from their father. that kind of wound doesnt automatically turn into dramatic sobbing when he dies. sometimes it turns into silence. sometimes it turns into restraint. sometimes it looks like holding everything in because you dont even know how to process what ure feeling. that's EXACTLY what they portrayed. you could see the tears they were fighting back. you could see the internal conflict. that quiet unraveling was the point. since when did "hagulgol na pag-iyak" become the standard for good acting?? subtlety is not weakness. controlled emotion is not lack of emotion. in fact, portraying suppressed grief is often harder because it requires nuance. and that's what THEY DELIVERED. yk what's more disappointing is how some people are using this scene to downgrade them just to uplift their own idol. constructive criticism is way diff from a shady post. cmon it's only been two episodes. two, i repeat. how can anyone fully judge someone's acting range this early?? mind u, most of these hms are still new in their careers, yet theyre already delivering performances that exceed expectations. may i remind that the series is not a competition between fandoms. it's a story. constantly pitting actors against each other and fueling fanwars over every scene does nothing but create unnecessary toxicity. shady tweets and forced comparisons dont prove anything abt ur fave. they just drag the whole cast and the entire series down. it's 2026. we should be mature enough to appreciate different acting styles and different ways of portraying grief w/o turning everything into a battlefield. it's completely fine if a performance doesnt resonate with you, but let's not mask shady posts as constructive criticism. allow the actors the space to grow, let the story unfold naturally, and stop treating every emotional scene like it's some kind of competition.
