Quick reminder that the US Congress is 73% male and that’s the lowest it’s ever been, in case you want 1 small contributing glimpse as to why Roe hasn’t been treated w/ the urgency it deserved for ~50 years. (And why our politics are so gross towards women & LGBT+ people overall)
The People’s House has seen few days as glorious as this. Lost it when Her Honor said “My family went from segregation to the Supreme Court in one generation” and quoted Maya Angelou: “I am the dream and hope of the slave.” Looking around, I wasn’t alone.
Happy KBJ Day.
4 years since we marched in DC and around the world to end gun violence. 4 years of #ThoughtsAndPrayers. 4 years of broken promises. 4 years without ANY federal action on guns.
