💬 "I had to fight to stay alive." Kelly, 43, faced a 3-month delay for her #HeadAndNeckCancer diagnosis & treatment. Now she's speaking out about the "postcode lottery" in cancer care: "I want future patients to get good care, no matter where they live."

Head and neck cancers at the moment are taking well over the 62 days in more than 50% of cases from being put on the pathway to treatment starting. This can cost life’s. # headandneckcancermatters @wesstreeting
A salutary tale from a friend. Fighting to stay alive with cancer is one thing . She had to fight to get diagnosed, we shouldn’t be made to fight twice. @wesstreeting are you listening? https://t.co/mIIzDfsrOl
Head and neck cancers have the longest treatment times of all major cancers, with just over 50% treated within 62 days.
Hopefully risk stratification studies such as @EVEREST_HN will streamline referrals and lead to faster treatment for these patients.
