2022 #confession. One of my best IRL artist friends came to visit right after Christmas. She's on the Anti-AI side and I empathise with her even though I'm not. I asked if she hated me. She said "I don't hate you... but I do hate the #AIart." Hearing that meant the world
@Frogland_io team still building - Thanks for all your hard work. Also, thanks to all in the community who are also a big part of this project. (Pic credit to Frogthony HOPkins in discord)
@ecksteinthejohn So if all that isn't confusing enough, it's also not an NFT because I didn't mint it. 😂 I've realized I have a very tricky time coming to a satisfying answer to. What is it? 😂 Thanks for going down this mental brain cramp with me @ecksteinthejohn I may go see what chatGPT says
To me this is not an art. It's a cellphone picture of an art. If I took it outside and put it in my flowerbed and took a picture with my big camera with more intentionality. That image would be considered an art by some. None of it has to do with me. It has to do with the viewer.
@ecksteinthejohn Weird loop isn't it. On the one hand if someone says I want to buy your art, they may actually be asking to buy the video clip. Since in my case the physical sculpture is just a component used in the creation of the real final product which is not a sculpture.
@ecksteinthejohn So does the fact that it's driven by considerations like sensor capabilities, video length, and social platform change it into content instead of art? (Don't worry you don't have to answer just thinking out loud)
@ecksteinthejohn Me too 😂 it was my favorite from this batch. This was more of a statement about art being a pretty blanket term and pretty subjective. For instance most my work is actually created with cellphone cameras in mind because that's the primary format it's seen.
