Yesterday, I attended Taehyung's exhibition in Los Angeles, and I feel compelled to speak out about my experience. This exhibition was unfair to both Taehyung and the fans. It was extremely disappointing. No photos were allowed, likely because the organizers didn't want us to reveal how small the exhibit was. It wasn’t even a full room—just two walls. Fansites manage to do a much better job than this. Some people travel significant distances for these events, expecting something substantial.
By definition, an exhibition in the business and industry context is typically a large-scale event where companies and organizations showcase their latest products, services, or innovations to potential customers, partners, and the media. However, this event consisted of just two walls of photos leading to a single register for merchandise. If this had been labeled as a small shop, I would have understood, but it wasn’t.
BTS is the biggest group in the world, and as a company, you need to protect your brand. When organizing pop-ups or exhibitions, they must be of high quality. Fans deserve a memorable experience, and the company should go above and beyond to provide this. Invest in the experience.
Moreover, the building owner wasn't even aware that HYBE was coming, and they showed up late the night before, setting up until 9 PM. HYBE is consistently unprepared. This event felt cheap and like a cash grab, which does not reflect who BTS is. HYBE needs to do better. Also side note: it's a Taehyung exhibition, why not play his music during these events?? @HYBEOFFICIALtwt@bts_bighit
