For those who ask where the strange diseases and cancers in Gaza come from, come and see for yourself to understand the full scale of the oppression we live in.

We are trapped among 400,000 tons of waste, remnants of rockets, and hospital debris, right next to our tents, while children play on ground full of bacteria and germs, as if our lives have become a game of slow death.

The water we drink is contaminated. We know it is contaminated, but there is no alternative. We are forced to drink it every day just to survive, fully aware that it slowly kills us.

The stench is unbearable. Rats crawl out of the garbage into our tents, walking over food and clothes, spreading diseases. Hundreds of dumps are scattered across the city, growing larger every day, and no one cares about our cries.

There are no trucks to remove the waste, no places to treat or recycle it. Every day, the piles grow bigger, and with them, the diseases spread. Children cough up blood, people fall ill, hunger burns our bodies, and the heat and cold kill us inside our cramped tents.

We survived the rockets, but now we are trapped in slow death among the garbage, contaminated water, and epidemics, while the world completely ignores us.
Every day we wake to more destruction and oppression, realizing our lives have become a never ending hell, and the whole world lets us die slowly without mercy.

I don’t know if anyone will care about what I am saying, but what is happening in the Gaza tents cannot be ignored under any circumstances.

Every day, a new disease appears among children and women strange skin conditions, sores and pains that no doctor has ever seen, and rare, slow killing cancers. The radiation from the missiles, along with contaminated water and food, are all factors that make the suffering multiply every day.

Children are born with deformities, and women suffer from diseases that have no cure. No one is allowed to leave for treatment abroad, so the pain grows heavier, and despair crushes the people. The tents are filled with fear and hopelessness, and people live a daily suffering that is impossible to imagine.

Worst of all, the world does not hear us, as if this tragedy is normal, as if the pain we endure does not matter. Our lives cannot continue in this agony and suffering for more than two years while we write, scream, and appeal to the world, yet, unfortunately, no real change has happened here.
