Everton are braced for a fight to keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye, with the star forward having rejected multiple new deals over the course of the season.
The 26-year-old has three years remaining on his current contract and no exit clause, but Everton had been keen to reward his strong early-season form with fresh terms which would have made him become one of the club’s top earners.
According to sources briefed on the matter, a point of contention is the addition of an exit clause that could be triggered as early as this summer.

Thank you for the kind words about my Ol Big Ead. It was such a special day and I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to do the one job I ever wanted to do 😇
Brentford’s defeat leaves the door open for Everton. Not every result went our way today, but beat Palace and Everton are right back in the conversation. It’s not over yet.
Best night ever, big Dunc, what a man. Some great stories and him saying he was on the bones of his arse just before he got the interim manager job but got an extra 50k per point when he took over Marco Silva because that was Marco’s bonus. Fairplay Farhad for getting Dunc in
🚨 Newcastle United must factor in Everton sell-on clause for Anthony Gordon, which entitles them to 15% per cent of any profit made on the player’s sale.
Everton are only due a share of the amount above the £45M Newcastle paid in 2023.
So, for instance, if the player were sold for £75M, Everton would receive £4.5M.
