Thank you, LSU.

I have made the decision to step away from my role with LSU Softball. This choice was made with great consideration and comes with a heavy heart as I leave a place that has been my home for the entirety of my adult life.

I turned 18 just days before moving to Baton Rouge in the fall of 2004, and LSU quickly became the center of my soul. In the preceding days, countless memories of the past 20 years have flooded me, centering the remarkable people and moments that made this journey meaningful.

I will deeply miss the camaraderie of being a part of this team.

I have been fortunate to work with exceptional individuals. I am incredibly grateful for my first boss, Yvette Girouard, Beth Torina, and for the unwavering guidance of Miriam Segar. Their pivotal support and investment in me has altered the course of my life. Sadly, I cannot name everyone I would like to thank, but please know your contributions - no matter the size - were profoundly meaningful.

To those to whom I did not say “Thank You” enough, I hope you know how deeply I appreciate you. Many went out of their way for me, personally, and for the program, and a million thanks would never be enough.

To my teammates, the athletes, and the student staff who have walked through the halls: your successes, in any endeavor, were always the most rewarding part of this experience. Seeing you fall in love with LSU always filled my heart with immense, incomparable joy.

Summed up perfectly by the LSU Alma Mater: “Fond memories that waken in our hearts a tender glow, And make us happy for thy love that we have learned to know.”

I will forever hold tight to the myriad memories. I am beyond grateful. Though I could go on, the time has come.
