The SRR are still looking for any recommendations for books from @HCAatEdinburgh students and staff. If you have read any of the books from the SRR and Scottish History Collection and found them useful for your studies or simply a good read, then we want to know all about it!
Exciting news, the @HCAatEdinburgh SRR has a new shelf on floor 3 for "Recommended Reads". If you have ever used a book in the SRR that you found particularly interesting or helpful, DM me and the book can be added for everyone to enjoy!
Today's SRR #bookoftheday is 'Holocaust' from the CSMC collection on floor 3. This highly emotive primary source book contains extracts from 180 interviews with concentration camp survivors, refugees, liberators & aid workers held at the Imperial War Museum.
Today's accession of the day goes to John Watt's 'Scalan: The Forbidden College' which explores the lives and characters of the small Scalan community and the role religion had during the 18th century. This book is available to borrow from floor 2 from today! #lovebooks
Sorry for the long delay folks! But we're back now, and over the next few days/weeks we shall be publishing some articles which slipped through the cracks last year. First up, Eleanor Hardy's article on Russia and sports: https://t.co/2fARLWRSSF
Another #SundaySort has led to a discovery of some more Classics books waiting to join the rest of our Sellar and Goodhart collection for the next academic year!
These books can be found alongside many other newly donated books in the New Book Collection, located on floor 2M, next to the volunteer desk. Worth checking out!
Today's newly catalogued books for the @HCAatEdinburgh SRR room includes two medical history books, Richard Hillary's account of WW2 & Emma Mason's William II. Ready to be taken out from the New Library Book Collection on 2m!
Are you a current @HCAatEdinburgh student or member of staff? Seen a book in the SRR that you wanted to read but are too busy during semester time? Never fear, books can still be borrowed during the summer. All you need to do is sign it out in the blue folder #summerreading
