1980s-vintage Class 455 units (like this one at Guildford) occasionally visit Haslemere. There's a final visit on Sunday 21 December. It's a planned stop for the SWR and BLS Class 455 farewell tour. Just 400 tickets via the BLS website from Monday 10 November.
Just a matter of hours now until the last Portsmouth-bound train of today gets the final green light from Haslemere Signal Box. Then it's a nine-day shutdown between Guildford and Havant while upgrades to track and signals are completed.
