Daytona 500 Moment - On February 22, 1959, #NASCARHOFer Lee Petty took the victory at the first running of the Daytona 500. Johnny Beauchamp was initially named the unofficial winner. It took founder Bill France, Sr. three days to officially declare Lee Petty the winner.
