My solo exhibition “Sadlands” opens September 9 at KP Projects, Los Angeles.

I started planning works for this exhibit several years ago and completed the paintings over the last 9 months. This is my first proper solo show since before the pandemic. Earlier this year I moved to a new studio which opened up the possibilities for this exhibit and future projects.

“Sadlands" is my exploration of landscape painting and world building. This new body of work features my ideas for art installations that could one day exist in a future Southern California landscape. “Sadlands” pulls inspiration from science fiction views of dystopian futures, L.A.’s natural landscape and invasive plant and animals, historical sites and themes of man vs. nature. Each work in the show relates to a real world location in Southern California.

"Sadlands" opening reception is Saturday September 9, 2023 6-9pm. The exhibit runs 9/9 to 9/30. Interested collectors who would like to preview the work should email: info @ kpprojects. net
