Let's be clear, Labor tried to wipe out Tasmania’s salmon industry, and they nearly got away with it.
Tanya Plibersek was ready to team up with the Greens to shut down the Tasmanian salmon industry. It’s a familiar playbook. Remember how she used a blue-banded bee mural to kill off a billion-dollar mine? This time, it was salmon in the firing line.
Thousands of jobs were on the line. Family businesses pushed to the brink. Towns like Strahan left with nothing.
While Labor, the Greens, and Jacqui Lambie pandered to city voters, everyday Tasmanians stood firm. Workers, families, small businesses all fighting to protect their future.
And One Nation backed them. Because this was never just about fish. It’s about whether regional Australians can still make a living without being destroyed by activists and weak politicians.
Labor only backflipped when the pressure got too much. Now the activists are hitting back. Former Greens leader Bob Brown has already dragged this into the courts, using lawfare to pile the pressure back onto Labor.
How long do you think they’ll hold the line?
This is why the election on May 3rd matters. The threat still remains. With Labor and the Greens in power, every regional job is at risk. Every farm. Every small business. Every town.
It’s time to draw a line in the sand because the fight’s not over. Australia needs strong voices in Parliament who won’t cave under pressure.
You know me. You know One Nation. You know we won’t back down.
I believe in the Aussies you don’t see on the front page, but who keep this country running every single day. That is who One Nation is fighting for.
On May 3rd, vote One Nation. Let’s protect our industries, our communities, and our future.
Let's take our nation back.
We need a referendum to change Section 44 of the Australian Constitution to ensure that only people who are born here and whose families have paid taxes for at least three generations can sit at the highest level of government.
Media Release | One Nation's demand to exit WHO embraced by Trump
Australia should affirm its sovereignty and withdraw its membership of the World Health Organisation following President Donald Trump’s withdrawal of the United States from the organisation.
One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson said her party had been calling for Australia to exit the WHO since 1996, a call now more urgent after revelations of the organisation’s overreaching plans to take over the country’s health system and dictate Australian health policy.
“The WHO has been pushing hard for a global pandemic treaty which would enable this unelected international body to effectively take over any Australian response to a future pandemic,” Senator Hanson said.
“One Nation won’t stand for Australia signing over its sovereignty by being party to such an agreement. We have no business being a member of a body that does not recognise the Australian people’s ultimate authority over how our country responds to a challenge like COVID-19.
“The United States under President Trump has recognised its best interests do not lie with the WHO. Australia’s best interests lie in charting an independent path too – we can have positive and beneficial diplomatic and trade relationships without unelected international bureaucracies compromising our sovereignty.
“Australia should review all of its memberships to bodies like the WHO – including the United Nations. Australia may have been one of its original founding members, but the UN has hopelessly lost its way. It’s become a platform for abhorrent regimes to claim legitimacy, a forum of hatred for western countries like Australia, and a tacit supporter of international terrorism.
“It’s been said that countries don’t have friends; they have interests. The UNHCR, the UNRWA, the International Criminal Court – are we a member or a party to these unelected world organisations because it is truly in our nation’s interest?
“I congratulate Mr Trump for leading by example and putting his nation’s interests before all else. One Nation puts Australia and Australians first.”
