RE: AFFIRMATION OF HON. IFE SALAKO AS THE AUTHENTIC NDC CANDIDATE FOR ALIMOSHO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY**

Saturday, 25th July 2026

The Grassroots Mobilization for OK hereby issues this formal statement to clarify our position regarding the candidacy of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Alimosho Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections.

After a careful review of the democratic process that produced the party’s candidate, and in line with the principles of fairness, transparency, and respect for the will of the people, we unequivocally state as follows:

1. Hon. Ifeoluwa Adedayo Salako (@ifesalakooffice) emerged as the clear and authentic winner of the NDC primary election conducted for the Alimosho Federal Constituency. He secured an overwhelming victory with 634 votes against his closest contender who polled a mere 6 votes. This primary was conducted in the presence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and accredited observers.

2. The outcome of the said primary election was duly recognized by INEC. Any subsequent attempt to substitute, sideline, or replace the legitimate winner constitutes a direct affront to the democratic will of the delegates and the people of Alimosho.

3. The Grassroots Mobilization for OK stands firmly with Hon. Ife Salako as the authentic and legitimate NDC candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency. We reject any form of imposition or manipulation that seeks to subvert the freely expressed choice of the people.

4. We further state, without any ambiguity, that we do not recognize the leadership of Mr. John Ughula as Director General of any structure purporting to speak for the OK Movement on this matter. His actions and pronouncements in relation to the Alimosho ticket do not represent the position of the genuine grassroots supporters of the OK cause.

We wish to place on record that any attempt to subvert the will of the people of Alimosho by denying Hon. Ife Salako his hard-earned mandate will be resisted and will ultimately result in the National Democratic Congress losing the Alimosho Federal Constituency. The people of Alimosho have spoken clearly; their voice must be respected.

The Grassroots Mobilization for OK remains committed to the ideals of a new Nigeria built on justice, equity, and the supremacy of the people’s will. We call on the leadership of the National Democratic Congress at all levels to uphold internal democracy, respect the outcome of the primaries, and avoid any action that could undermine the party’s prospects in Alimosho and beyond.

This morning, we conducted our first experiment in Abor Village, Enugu State.

Every child in this hall is from the village.

We gathered them together and delivered a world-class Mathematics lesson designed to build the strong foundations they need to compete confidently with students from the best private schools in the 2027 South East Maths & Science Olympiad.

The most remarkable part?

After the lesson, many of the children said they never knew Mathematics could be this easy. Several of them told us it was the best lesson they had ever attended.

That alone says a lot about the learning gap we need to close.

This is about more than preparing for an Olympiad.

It is about eliminating the learning inequality between children born into privilege and those born into underserved communities.

On Monday, we’ll run the next experiment in Imo State. If the results are equally promising, we’ll begin developing a model that can be replicated across villages throughout the South East.

I’m beginning to believe that we don’t have an intelligence problem, we have an access problem. When children are exposed to world-class teaching, regardless of where they live, they rise to the occasion.

If this model works at scale, it could fundamentally change how we democratize learning in Africa.

Yesterday, I had the rare privilege of being honored by both a three-star and a two-star U.S. Army General. As an immigrant from a country where connections too often outweigh competence, I don’t take moments like this for granted. I joined the U.S. Army knowing absolutely no one.
