Mental Monday Tip 🧠
Replace “I have to” with “I get to”. Everyday is a new opportunity to be the best version of yourself. Changing your language can change your mindset!!
Mental Monday Tip 💪🏼🧠:
Don’t push off your happiness for when you accomplish that one big goal- the steps you take to get there MATTER! Enjoy the journey and celebrate the small successes along the way!
Mental Monday Tip:
A common misconception is that elite athletes are born mentally tough, but mental skills can be learned and shaped just like physical skills!
The key is consistent and meaningful practice!! 🧠🔑
Any current or former Division 1 athletes out there willing to take a survey? I am working on my Master’s research on social media and the effects it has on student-athletes mental health! Please dm or comment if you’re willing! Takes less than three minutes! 🤘🏼
To a question about being consistent, Austin Riley pointed to the mental side of the game.
"And guys don't practice it," he said.
Well, now *he* does.
Riley is now working with a mental skills coach.
"It's been eye-opening," he said.

Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day! Admiring all the women who paved the way before us, those currently breaking records and pushing barriers, and all the incredible women that are yet to come! #NGWSD2023
When striving for perfection we can easily get stuck in an “all or nothing” mindset, but we are human, we can’t do it all! Don’t let defeats undermine successes!
Confrontation Do’s and Don’ts:
- DO plan out your talking points beforehand
- DON’T initiate when angry
- DO listen carefully
- DON’T attack or put down
- DO be understanding of their perspective and feelings
Mental Monday Tip:
Confrontation tends to have a negative connotation, but it is actually an important part of communication in any relationship! The goal is not to cut someone down or “humble” them, but to evaluate behavior and consequences.
