Yesterday we had an opportunity to give a talk about Autism Spectrum Disorder and Early Intervention for ASD Individuals presented by Syamimi (Clinical Psychologist) & Tan Siew Lee (Academy Director) respectively.

For many individuals with ASD and developmental delays, making friends and interacting with others might be a bit hard for them.

In our EIP programme, group instructions and social skills are introduced to help children in improving their social interaction.

DLD also is not caused by other medical conditions such as hearing loss or physical impairment.

However it is important to note that DLD looks different in each individual child and the child’s specific difficulties can also change as they get older.

DLD or Developmental Language Disorders a significant, on-going difficulties understanding and/or using spoken language, in all the languages you use.

Similar to Autism,there is no known cause for DLD as is not caused by emotional difficulties or limited exposure to language.
