Every time BTS visits London, they are writing a new chapter in K-pop history. They left a significant mark on the global performance scene by holding a Exclusive concert at Wembley Stadium, the dream stage for musicians from around the world, in June 2019, becoming the first Korean singers to do so. Returning to London approximately seven years later, they once again demonstrated their overwhelming global presence by completely taking over Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Even before the performance, the entire city of London was ablaze with enthusiasm for BTS. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium also extensively highlighted their concert through its official channels, praising BTS as a "Pop Royalty." In particular, Tottenham Hotspur's official Korean account posted a video of BTS's 5th full-length album 'Arirang' title track 'SWIM' playing throughout the stadium ahead of the performance, welcoming the visit of audiences from around the world.
Over the two-day performance, BTS maximized audience immersion with flawless live vocals and overwhelming performances. They kicked off with a dazzling performance of "Hooligan," a track from their 5th full-length album, followed by a series of new song performances like "NORMAL" and "Body to Body," as well as mega-hit songs that captivated the world, such as "IDOL" and "FIRE," raising the atmosphere to its peak.
After finishing their performance, BTS said, "We deeply feel the emotion we felt at Wembley Stadium seven years ago once again." Thanks to your tremendous passion, I had a really enjoyable time today. "I was reminded of many memories from past performances, and I was surprised to realize once again that 'London was such a hot city,'" he said, expressing his affectionate feelings.
Major local foreign media outlets also showered it with praise. The renowned music publications Rolling Stone UK and The Guardian both gave the performance a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.
