@AdriWindGB@crcgtz May I ask what you think is a good example of combat in games? Exclude character action games like devil may cry or Bayonetta because that wouldn't be fair 😂
@register_u@Magolord5@soniccitynet Yeah but remakes normally never fix things like that man. In some cases they make shit worse like Sonic Colours Ultimate 😅
@LifeArtStudios@RobinPoedev My only point was that you can still make cool stylish graphics in high quality, the original post made it seem like once you pass a certain level of fidelity you can’t and I disagree.
@LifeArtStudios@RobinPoedev@Worthikids That’s the thing bro! THIS WAS DONE IN BLENDER!! 😂 I couldn’t tell either at first but that’s what I mean, it’s the way the tool is used that gets u the results u want. And doing it in blender is totally easier than doing it traditionally ! Also it does look like Zelda cdi 😂
@LifeArtStudios@RobinPoedev Most Businesses don’t incentivise going that extra mile to make something distinct. But it will ALWAYS take an extra bit of care to make something distinct, whether it’s on GameCube or it’s on PS6 😂
@LifeArtStudios@RobinPoedev If anything it’s to do with the continued corporatization of the arts. Film, music, tv, gaming. There is the “generalised” way of using tools to get out a suitable product on time. But the reason we are artists is because we can harness those tools to make something dope!

I know it’s smaller scale, but something like this wizard ale animation by @Worthikids could totally be done for a whole game without being OVERLY taxing yet still being a unique visual flavour.
@LifeArtStudios@RobinPoedev To your second point look at the shadows from hi Fi rush. They have a shader which ads more cross hatching depending on how deep the area of shade is, real time. The shader also works better on certain versions of the game because of the process power it takes.
