“Much like my life, a blank piece of paper is a world of endless possibilities. It’s an opportunity for creating, for learning, and for sharing. It’s a fresh start to become something so vibrant and beautiful. It’s something to behold.” -Healing Housing Resident
A group of volunteers led by the Missions and Outreach Program of @BrentwoodUMC organized our big three storage spaces--two sheds and our basement--and organized our graduate starter pack storage.
Healing Housing staff members Morgan and Ashlynn recently toured The Williamson County Health Department with County Health Director Cathy Montgomery. The Health Department provides everything from Immunizations and Primary Care to Dental Services and so much more.
Matt, thank you for taking the time to talk to us about Churchill’s unwavering commitment and support of the women that we serve. WE LOVE @ChurchillMtg!
We always love being with our friends at @ChurchillMtg! From the receptionist to all the staff onsite, you make every visit a treat. Thank you Cassie and Teresa for hosting Tracey in the Think Tank and collaborating on other ways to assist with Healing Housing!
We can’t let April come to a close without shedding light on two topics that greatly affect the women that we serve, Alcohol Abuse & Sexual Assault, which are more connected than many people may realize.
The relationship between substance use disorder (SUD) & sexual assault is complex. Trauma from sexual assault can put individuals at an increased risk for SUD. On another hand, individuals struggling with SUD are at an increased risk of being a victim of sexual violence.
Look what a team of volunteers from @HCAhealthcare accomplished on a cool, rainy day at HH a few weeks ago! Our flowerbeds received some much needed TLC that included fresh mulch, bushes trimmed, weeds pulled and new flowers.
We can’t tell you what a difference this made for our community. It provided inspiration for more gardening, painting some flowerpots and one resident even bought a tomato plant and basil to grow on our back deck.
Thank you everyone who attended Love Breakfast this year! We are so grateful to have you as part of our story. If you weren’t able to join us in person, please consider making your donation today: https://t.co/pIF7BUxe3w
Happy Earth Day! HH is committed to taking steps in 2023 to reduce the waste we accumulate as an organization. Step 1: we have implemented composting services in hopes that we can reduce the number of weekly trash cans needed to 1 per house. We’ll keep you posted on our progress!

Tracey recently had the honor of sitting down with Rhonda Bartaine, PNP & founder of Willows Health and Recovery to talk more about the services that HH clients & graduates receive from The Willows Team & the vital role that psychiatric care plays in recovery from addiction.
Rhonda will be featured in a mini-documentary that Healing Housing will be premiering at our upcoming Love Breakfast on April 25th at @BrentwoodUMC. For more information on Love Breakfast visit https://t.co/qcvbgmKlcC.
