Now - WARREN CONNECTICUT – After the rain. We have a lot of shade here – our house is in a grove of native oaks and maples. So we’ve planted hostas in rail car quantities. I’m getting a lot of use from the close focus attachment for my 1958 dual range Summicron. (Claude suggested that I put the close focus attachment on the lens and just walk around all day getting close to things. Good advice.) I love its delicate rendering, three dimensionality and subtle bokeh.

🎬 Ennio Morricone composed this soundtrack before any scenes were filmed. Sergio Leone played the music on set while the actors performed, so Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, and Claudia Cardinale acted out their scenes to this music in real time. The melody existed before the film's release.

🎤 The original vocals for this soundtrack were by Edda Dell'Orso, who recorded it instrumentally in Rome in 1968. No lyrics. Only human voices were used as instruments. Morricone believed that female voices could convey a depth of emotion that no orchestra could achieve alone. He was right. The soundtrack has sold 10 million copies worldwide.

🎼 Wendy Kokkelkoren trained at the Maastricht Conservatory, graduating with honors in 2002, and pursued a soprano career with the Maestro Orchestra & The European Pop Orchestra. She has performed for Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and in concert halls throughout Europe and North America. This isn't an opera stage. Music doesn't care about that.
