@benlandis Public speaking is not about rehearsing your speech word for word a thousand times and memorizing it. Or not losing your place as you share it. It’s about knowing what you want to say, the key points that you want to share, and letting them flow in a relaxed conversational way.
@benlandis @benlandis use whatever words fit best. Not in an effort to be boastful or pretentious but to express your message. Make it safe for people to ask if they don't understand. If you create a warm and kind environment people will ask for clarification, learn and you will learn too.
@theclairbyrd Let them know that it’s been spelled wrong in their communication. If they are qualified, interview. Say the position requires attention to detail. Use behavior based interview questions too. I have a recurring issue with a name, my spellcheck overwrites what I wrote.
