Following the news of the house fire in Westhoughton of a local family, we are collecting Christmas presents for the children involved running alongside our ‘Let’s share Christmas’ campaign. This is close to our school community as 2 of the girls effected attend our school.

As part of our Let's Share Christmas launch, students have been learning about the wonderful work of our local community groups such as 'Senior Solutions' & 'WASPS'. We would like to dedicate this years appeal to the memory of Len Maycroft who gave so much, to so many for so long

A group of year 10 students completed a 5 mile sponsored walk/run from school to Bolton Hospice on Monday. Their aim was to challenge themselves, raise money for our chosen charities, and see the amazing work that takes place at the hospice. They were treated to medals & lunch.

Our latest community project at Westhoughton High involves 38 form groups each adopting a grandparent in the local community to enjoy writing to one another and sharing experiences together. Looking forward to Xmas 🎄
