@lonelyspeck feels v reassuring seeing people finally give LP this kinda credit. RH fans would scoff at this, but this isn't a knock on them. They've done a lot for more indie styles of music, but LP are simply more influential/innovative when it comes to a pop culture sense. Globally.
@hostiledub @blueghostmusic Will never understand why something that makes music-making and expressing yourself more accessible is seen as a bad thing. Prob cus the dude with an acoustic guitar doesn't feel special anymore :'(
@hostiledub @blueghostmusic Plus who cares even if it is "cheating". The artistic output and the vision is always going to be more important than technical skills, so it shouldn't matter how anyone gets there as long as they're conveying the things they want to
@GodLovesUgly22 @adeeperher @JonahFurman tf kinda gatekeepey bs is this. It works different for everybody and every situation, plus instant relief is different from being rid of a disorder entirely
@iloveweedandass If you're using autotune artist, try setting whichever key you're in to chromatic, and then remove the unwanted notes in the advanced tab except the note you want. Then remove that too and bring it back when the section returns, easiest way I can think of atm
@buttonmakerfr people who think like this literally blow my mind like yes, dilute your target audience and make it even harder to reach the few people actually into you..
@blueghostmusic nah fr what he has done that excision, virtual riot etc haven't? Obv a good producer but i legitimately don't understand what he's done to progress the genre in any meaningful way to be talking about people using supersaws being unoriginal lmao
@blueghostmusic Okay but why does he talk so much about originality and shit on others on the basis of it when most of his stuff is generic EDM/brostep
@lonelyspeck Rock/Metal purists crying about how nu metal killed heavy music when it was the only thing keeping heavy music fresh and culturally relevant will never not be funny
@therobyguy @CodyMoty@RamonPang Absolutely. Anything that involves manipulating a sound, whether it's effects or EQ or literally anything, is 100% sound design
