@dearread3r I ignore it. I don’t respond to it. They only bring it up in every release week and I just focus on what I like about the album if they want to talk about her or her music. They don’t have to listen to her music or like her, but I want them to know why I like her music
Taylor Swift's "The Fate of Ophelia" officially becomes the fastest song to surpass 100 million streams in Spotify history, the first to hit the milestone in under 5 days.
Most artists tend to peak on their debuts, second or third studio albums and decline afterwards, but this woman is out here destroying every single record with her 12th album...there's never been someone like her before
Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” is expected to become the first single ever to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 without any pure sales.
Aiming for well over 600K in units based off of streaming alone.
The absolute unprecedented gaggery of a 3.5M *pure sales* debut on Billboard 200 this deep into the streaming era, and it’s properly backed up by record-breaking streams per song (totaling to a whopping 500K+ streaming-equivalent albums).
No one alive can ever do this. Not with the passage of a century, not with a thousand variants, not with a dozen A-lister collabs. The fact that no other artist has debuted with even 1M this decade (with 500–600K being the “A-lister ceiling”) solidifies that. I’m gonna need people to fully ABSORB how industry-shaking of a record this is. An all-time, near-immortal record that only Taylor herself can ever hope to obliterate in this lifetime.
Taylor Swift's 'The Life of A Showgirl' officially breaks the all-time record for biggest first week sales for any album in US history, surpassing Adele's '25'.
“People will come up to me and be like, I didn’t get reputation…. Now 5 years later it’s my favorite record”
They’ll come around…. But the north always remembers.
One of my favorite things about Taylor has always been that she embraces every aspect of who she is. We don’t have to choose between being a rep girl or a red girl or a folklore girl - because she’s all of them at once. We can be romantic, petty, wistful, depressed, joyous, loving, angry and every feeling and vibe in between.
As women we often get placed in these little boxes and told to pick but we are complex and layered and every Taylor era shows a layer of who she is and who so many of us also are
And now we have this beautiful new layer to help represent us in more ways to be seen. A real Swiftie knows we don’t need to yearn for a past era because each new one Taylor opens up is a new masterpiece. It’s just adding more and more complexity to the tapestry of her work. She outdoes herself every time and we continue to feel seen every time and that’s the magic of being a Swiftie
Every taylor swift album rollout is full of people hating on the lyrics or saying it's not as good as past albums and then like a year later they say it's her best work and compare it to whatever comes next, like clockwork. She has them all gagged
Taylor album release day is the day where random people go out of their way to reach out to me and tell me they don’t like it…. I don’t care!!!!!! I’m having fun!!!!! Don’t text I’m busy
Honestly, I’m absolutely unfazed by the hate towards this album because I was here when you all HATED rep, and now cry about rep tv every 5 business days, when you said Lover was the end of her career and don’t even get me started on Midnights and ttpd hate 🙄
unbothered by showgirl hate because i remember when y’all hated rep and now it’s bible. if anything i’m annoyed that i know you’ll all come around and act like this never happened
