@cybreco decomping gamecube games is definitely pretty intense tbh but very fun. it's a lot of staring at assembly + guess-and-check work, since it's a 1-to-1 decomp we're doing, and the old compiler they used is a pain lol. insane amount of files as well, so it takes a lot of my time tbh

@cybreco oh sick! it's a great lil game tbh. the original has a certain charm that's... maybe not held up super well imo, and it doesn't help that the PAL version literally runs slower than either NTSC version. switch remaster is slick though.

@cybreco just a hobby tbh - loved pikmin as a kid, so I started speedrunning pikmin games around COVID. started contributing to the decomp efforts like... two and a half years ago now? P2's at like 84% done, so I've been doing some P1 stuff recently (it's at about 8.5%). love the games!

@sailorgordo @Reecemel95 obvs breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom if he wants something Zelda-y and long. Pikmin 4 was incredible tbh and really pretty. I’d recommend TUNIC if he likes Zelda, though it’s a bit better to play on PC bc the gorgeous lighting chugs the switch a lil. also Mario Kart!
