Season 5 MAC Media Day brought good news. WMU got slotted #1 but we're the hunted as Miami OH, EMU, and Kent St are hot on our heels.

Senior SG Tibor Bonga made MAC preseason all-conf 1st team for 3rd straight year, the Heidelberg Hammer is so good.

Season 5 comes as 2020 goes, a great trade. Western Michigan is back and by back I mean the roster is all returnees. We're experienced, in fact some of our guys got excited yesterday as AARP applications arrived in the mail. Fun times in Broncoland!!

Western Michigan ended the long regular season on a high note, the 14-2 MAC record gaining the Broncos a conference title & #1 seed for conference tourney. WMU was in a celebratory mood going to Cleveland.

MAC tourney is always a battle. This year no different and Broncos came up short:

WMU is deep into MAC play, we knew the league was strong overall so every night is a big game. To go 5-1 out of the gate in conference play - we'll take it. Broncos taking 3 straight road games in there...liking the fight when in other gyms.

Extremely pleased w 5 W's, 7-1 mark for year. No blowouts, just steady play w/ all contributing. Impressed w/ win over South Dakota St, @HCS_SDSU had his analytics team on us, knew our sets. Luckily Coach isn't bright enough to follow patterns.
