@CardiganCorg Thank you- it’s been really rough. This is the first time I haven’t had a pet in my life for a really long time and I guess I’ve taken for granted how much furbies improve my life.
In honor of Fourth of July, I’d like to point out that if we hadn’t declared independence we would now have gun control & national health care. Navigating abortion care is a bit complicated, but it’s legal up to 24 weeks. NHS will even pay travel expenses. Plus I like tea. A lot.
The Supreme Court just overturned Roe v. Wade.
Abortion is still available and there are resources to help you get the care you need, including financial assistance if you qualify: https://t.co/KG1r5fMf9I
@soledadobrien Nummy toy stuffing!
One time he destroyed a couch & 4 signed 1st editions- I was upset about the couch but literally fell to my knees & cried about the books. He’s my first dog since I was a kid & learned the hard way to teach appropriate chewing.
I’ve worked in retail & been a waiter & worked in healthcare. We may think first & foremost of health care workers as being on the front lines of this pandemic but retail workers & waiters are as well. (And the pay sucks)
Here’s a virtual hug for the cashier that helped me today at natural grocers- & other cashiers/retail workers/waiters that help us despite sometimes being harassed abused yelled at etc while putting their lives at risk everyday for us. Never forget that you are appreciated!!!!!
The government is predicting 100 million COVID cases this winter.
We’ve seen ~1% fatality rates from past waves. if that holds, then we’ll see a million *extra* deaths this winter.
But it’s fine because they are planning to… <checks notes> drop covid funding from this bill?
