@stardust_tina@That_Teachr It’s hard work, no doubt. But how do we stop to complaining and start being a part of working together with admin, staff, families, and students to find a solution. Complaining doesn’t solve problems… it just makes us feel better temporarily.
@That_Teachr Sending a student to the office for being tardy is ridiculous. It’s ok to miss MORE class because the teacher is angry that you were a few minutes late? This only encourages students to skip your class. I know because I WAS that kid! Remember your WHY!
@dhabecker There is a nationwide teacher and sub shortage. You should sign up to sub, since you know better than the teacher. Then you can see firsthand what happens when parents tell their kids that they don’t have to listen to the adults at school or follow rules.
@DJones40122040@GovWhitmer To clarify, schools shouldn’t make public health decisions any more than people with no background in the education/ teaching field should make decisions about education.
@DJones40122040@GovWhitmer I completely respect your choice. I am fully vaccinated and choose to wear a mask at school to be a positive role model. While I am a professional educator, I am not a health expert and should not be responsible for setting public health requirements.
@DJones40122040@GovWhitmer Are you seriously suggesting we “segregate” schools? As an educator and school leader, I’m going to pass. If we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Something needs to happen, but this isn’t it!
